Conditions for Installing your MINI Cooper Performance Products:
We highly recommend that you have all MINI Cooper Performance and/or ALTA Performance products Installed by an Authorized MINI Cooper Service Shop. Please consult your current MINI Copper Dealer or Service department on your vehicle Warranty conflicts prior to any installation of performance products.
The New York-Long Island chapter of USMiniClub.com organizes Garage Parties to help our Members and Customers with their own installations. USMiniClub ALTA Performance Products Limited Warranty Policy & Claims:
The USMiniClub limited warranty policy is in effect for the ALTA Performance Products Warranty period as stated in the product shipment Warranty Statement:
ALTA PERFORMANCE WARRANTY AND CLAIMS
ALTA Performance (a division of A.S.M.C. LTD) warrants to the original retail purchaser "Purchaser" who holds title to the vehicle on which the parts are originally installed will, when delivered, substantially conform to the respective written Product description furnished to the Purchaser, and all Products to be free from defects in material and workmanship -excluded cosmetics and appearance and applies only to the function of the product for its intended manner and purpose- within a twelve (12) months period from the date of manufacture and will perform in accordance with ALTA operating instructions if properly installed, used and serviced on passenger cars. Should a product(s) become defective with such a period, Purchaser, at its cost, shall submit its claim and the defective Product to ALTA as well as the return manufacturer authorization number -RMA- and the sales receipt stating the defects and the circumstances under which the defect occurred, in which case ALTA will examine, and upon establishing Purchasers validity of claim, at its dole discretion repair the Product, exchange the Product, or refund the purchase price, which shall fully satisfy and discharge any and all warranty claims.

This warranty extends only to the Product or Products installed in such vehicle model as specified for the respective Product or Products and does not extend to any Product or Products
(i) which has been used of operated inconsistent with its intended use,
(ii) has not been properly installed by a qualified licensed auto mechanic experienced in the installation of the Product or Products,
(iii) installed in a vehicle that has been used for racing or off road use Products specifically designated for -off-road- use only may be submitted for warranty claim. ALTA holds sole discretion to warranty claims on the Product or Products not to exceed the twelve month limitation above.
(iv) which was modified or repaired by other than ALTA personnel,
(v) damaged because of misuse, neglect, accident or improper installing or service.
No warranty of fitness for a particular purpose is made. In addition, the forgoing warranty shall not apply to any components not manufactured by ALTA.
THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ABOVE AREIN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRENTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THE SALE IS MADE ON THE EXPRESS UNDERSTANDING THAT HERE IS NO IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT THE PRODUCTS SHALL BE FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION HEREIN. IN NO EVENT SHALL ALTA BE LIABLE FOR THE CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, AND DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PURCHASE, UNLOADING, HANDLING AND THE USE OF ANY PRODUCTS, ALL OF WHICH ARE WAIVED BY PURCHASER AND IN ANY EVENT, DAMAGES HEREUNDER SHALL BE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE RESPECTIVE PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY GIVES THE CONSUMER SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND THE CONSUMER MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WITH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
Manufacturers and user of motor vehicles incorporation the ALTA products should at all times take necessary precautions against damage to persons or property resulting from malfunction of the products.
USMiniClub Shop Limited Warranty Exclusions:
Any vehicle operated in any competitive event, brake rotor warp, custom-designed competition parts, damage attributable to negligence, improper installation, improper treatment or treatment contrary to the instructions in the owners manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or USMiniClub and/or ALTA Performance product instructions, damage due to the failure to perform maintenance services at the specified intervals or in accordance with the instructions in the owners manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or USMiniClub and/or ALTA Performance product instructions, damage occurring through corrosion resulting from weak or improper coolant, damage resulting from environmental influences, flood, accident, fire damage, or road salt corrosion, damage resulting from the unauthorized modification of a USMiniClub and/or ALTA Performance part or assembly, damage resulting from the use of improper or contaminated fuel, damage resulting from the use of other manufacturers products in conjunction with USMiniClub and/or ALTA Performance products or systems, damage to a component or assembly due to the installation of replacement parts with specifications that differ in any material respect from the original vehicle manufacturers or USMiniClub parts and/or ALTA Performance products, damage to any component as a result of a collision or improper collision damage repairs, damage to the clutch due to power shifting or abuse, drive-belts, engine damage resulting from altered boost pressure beyond that provided by USMiniClub and/or ALTA Performance products, friction materials, incidental and/or consequential damages, including loss of time, inconvenience or loss of the use of the vehicle, light bulbs, maintenance services and parts when replaced during maintenance such as spark plugs, lubricants, fluids, engine tune-up parts, replacement of filters, coolant and refrigerant, mechanical adjustments or repairs which result from normal wear and tear, towing charges, return shipping charges.
This warranty shall be null and void if the vehicle identification number has been altered or cannot be read; if the odometer has been replaced or altered and the true mileage cannot be determined; if the vehicle has been declared a total loss or sold for salvage purposes or if the vehicle has been used in any competitive event.
Terms and Conditions of Sale:
All orders placed with USMiniClub (via phone, fax, mail, e-mail or at will call) constitute the acknowledgment and acceptance of all conditions listed below. All parts shall remain the property of USMiniClub until paid in full. All prices, materials, design and specifications are subject to change without notice.
All engine and exhaust components (for example but not limited to the following, up-pipes, down pipes, test pipes, intake systems, supercharger pulleys, O2 simulators, intercoolers etc.) have been designed and are intended for off-road applications only.) These components are legal in California for racing vehicles only, which may never be used on public roads or highways. Federal and many state laws prohibit the removal, modification or rendering inoperable of any device or element of design affecting vehicle emission or safety in a vehicle used on public highways. Violation of such laws may subject the owner or user to a fine or penalty. Check your local and federal laws prior to purchase. (You are responsible for properly educating your self on the installation of any item, which is designated for off-road use. Additionally, you are responsible for verification that the item will be used in its intended fashion. You may be subject to local or federal penalty if this is not followed) Installation of any ALATA Performance parts may void the warranty coverage, if any, on your vehicle. Please contact your current MINI Cooper Service Dealership to verify your warranty coverage infringements. Vehicles modified by the use of any ALATA performance parts may no longer be lawfully used on public highways. Further, all engine parts, and electrical components are sold AS IS and may not be returned. Installers and end users assume all costs and risk associated with these items.
Return for an exchange or refund will be allowed only within 7 calendar days from the date of the receipt and must be authorized by USMiniClub Shop prior to shipping. (If applicable the manufacturer warranty to repair or replace the item is still in effect. See warranty stipulations included with each item for more details.) Contact our offices via telephone or e-mail to obtain RMA# prior to returning any merchandise. This number MUST appear on the outside of all boxes returned. If the RMA# is not visible on the outside of the box it will be refused at the dock. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. Any refused shipment sent back to USMiniClub Shop does not constitute the right to a refund or credit. It is the customers responsibility to make all arrangements with USMiniClub Shop for the shipment prior to its refusal. All authorized returned merchandise must be unused and in its original saleable packaging. No returns or exchanges on merchandise that shows signs of having been opened, installed, modified, mounted, scratched or defaced will be allowed. Returns must be sent freight prepaid and insured by you. A refund or exchange will not be considered until all relevant items, hardware, and accessories have been returned to USMiniClub Shop. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. All custom entry fees and duty associated with any return or exchange will be charged to the customer. A photocopy of your invoice showing the invoice number must accompany your return along with a written explanation and a contact phone number where we may reach you. It is the responsibility of the customer/installer to verify the correctness of the size and application of the parts before installation.
NOTE: A 20% restocking fee will be assessed on all authorized returns in addition to any original shipping fees. Any return credits or refunds are processed on the last business day of each month. Please allow additional 12-14 working days for credit card refunds to post to your account.
Shortage claims must be made within 5 working days of receipt date. All claims for damaged merchandise must be made with the carrier. Please keep all shipping cartons and all packing materials for carrier inspection. USMiniClub Shop cannot initiate any claims with the carrier. All approved refunds will be paid by company check, credit card, or account credit, to be determined by USMiniClub Shop.
WARRANTY:
No warranty will be valid if the defect was caused by customers abuse, negligence, and mishandling. (Please see information included with each part for specific warranty terms and disclaimers) Customer, however, will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees. No labor or inconvenience may be included in any claims. There is no warranty on apparel, decals, electrical parts, engine parts and any items shipped outside the United States of America. Check your federal and local laws regarding the use of any parts.
In the event that legal proceedings are required to resolve disputes, all claims and filings must be made with the Nassau County Municipal Court located in Long Island New York. USMiniClub Shop customers will acknowledge and agree to these stipulations once any transaction has been made with USMiniClub Shop.
